Periodontics is a form of dentistry that studies the supporting structures of teeth and the disease and conditions that affect them. When your General Dentist refers you to our office, we take the time to listen to your situation and recommend procedures so that we can provide you with excellent Periodontal & Implant care that will enhance your oral health and quality of life.
Our office is upgraded to include Digital X-rays and Scanner that help us from diagnosis to case completion. We are precise when we perform any dental work and pay strict attention to detail. Our work is done so that you will heal quickly and can return to normal day to day activities as soon as possible.
While the goal of Periodontal Therapy is to help you retain your natural teeth, Dr. Uyeda and your General Dentist may identify teeth and roots that may need to be extracted due to the severity of infection or bone loss. In these cases, we may recommend extraction and root removal and will fully explain the procedure before it happens so you are informed of all of the necessary steps.
Dental Implant replacement is a common procedure referred by a General Dentist when patients are missing teeth. A dental implant is put in the place of a real tooth root to serve the same purpose and function. We work closely with your General Dentist throughout this process to help you regain confidence in your smile and improve your ability to chew.
